Ooooops! We’re Not Recording

I hate it when Lucy is doing something super cute and I think I’m recording it, but I’m not. Ugh! She was squealing a ton and just talking my ear off. Yep, I didn’t hit the start recording button. Oh well, she’s still cute anyways. (Lighting wasn’t the greatest.)

Hot Air Balloons

We decided to take the kids to the Plano Balloon Festival today. It was a fabulous day, weather wise, but we just happened to choose the most visited day in the featival’s history. The crowds were crazy. It took us an hour to park. We finally stopped about 2 miles away from the entrance, since Lucy woke up and was done being in the stop and go traffic. Walking was much better than in the van. Lucy was not very fond of all the people everywhere, but she really enjoyed it when all the balloons lit up at the same time. It was beautiful.

“Who are all these people?!”

  The Glow

Fireworks or Water Bottle? That is the question.

Too Early

This morning we had to wake up Lucy really early because the little boys had Bulldog Boogie at school. William’s teacher notified us that he was getting an award, and we found out there, that Alex was getting an award too. We didn’t want to miss it, but Lucy was sure thrown off schedule the rest of the day. It was our day to have lunch with William, so it seemed like as soon as Lu fell asleep for a nap, I had to wake her up to go somewhere else. It is now after 10:00, and she is finally able to be out of that dumb car seat and in bed.

Lucy fell asleep at the end of awards.  Tried to catch a nap before lunch
Almost slept through lunch.Lucy loved having lunch with Wii!

Oh the Kitchen Sink

Lucy enjoys playing in the kitchen sink. Now it has become more of an obsession. I cannot even have her catch sight of it, or else we have to go play in it. Otherwise, it is a full on 4 month old temper tantrum. Really?! Already!?! I love that she has found something that she really enjoys to do and can communicate that to me. However, is she also displaying her personality of having to have things HER way already?😳 I hope this is just a phase and not a sign of what to expect later. For now, I guess my entire day will be spent in the kitchen at the sink. 😉

Good Laughs!

Thank goodness my phone was close enough that I could quickly run and grab it and Lu was still in her mood so I could capture this! LOVE HER SO MUCH!

Storytime, Playtime, and Cell Phones

Lucy and I went to storytime at the Wylie Library today, and I have to say it was fabulous. They really do a good job. 😊 The librarians gave every baby 3 board books to look at and read, sang songs, did rhymes, and then ended with toy time and bubbles. Lucy really enjoyed it. She has been so observant of her surroundings, and lately she is really letting us know exactly what she wants. We cannot even walk by the kitchen sink without her crying if we don’t stop to let her play. I had to use the restroom while I was nursing her earlier today, so I laid her on her play blanket. I wasn’t gone but 2 minutes max, and she had managed to move herself 6ft across the floor, off the rug, and onto the tile floor. Not sure if she rolled herself or scooted, but she did it fast. She also has been able to play in the jumperoo Mrs. Jamie gave her because I figured out how to turn the ladybug toy around so she won’t smack her face on it. Lucy is moving and going into things so fast now, it makes me sad her little bitty baby self is quickly going away. I am so grateful for cellphones though. Without them, I wouldn’t be able to capture her super sweet moments. I guess I can be okay with phones for this purpose. 😊

 “Ooooo, storytime!”

“Playtime is exhausting!”

Brothers.

I shared a really cute video of some brothers meeting their new baby sister yesterday on Facebook. It was so sweet. Lucy has some pretty incredible brothers, that love her very much too. (Just very differently!) Last night they rushed out to meet me in the driveway to tell me that they had given Lu a new nickname. “Helium!” I have to admit Lucy does do pretty good at talking in a squealy voice. The little boys also decided what they are going to make Lucy for Halloween: a grub! Really boys!?! A grub?! They are so funny. No, Lucy will NOT be a grub for Halloween, even if she is chubby and bald. 😆 Silly brothers!
