Lucy woke up with a 101.1 temperature this morning. Not sure what it is exactly that she has at this point, but it seems like a cold. She is a bit stuffy and her nose is a little runny. Other than that she has been happy. The only other things I can think of is possible teething still, but not likely with a fever that high, or an ear infection. She has been nursing weird the past couple of days. She doesn’t seem to want to lay on her right side. Hopefully she will be better tomorrow. After giving her Tylenol this morning, her fever has yet to come back. Fingers crossed.

Very Rainy Day
Wow! It was really raining in North Texas today! Several times during the day, our street looked more like a river than a road. When Lu was first born we had a period of very excessive rain. After that, we have not had much at all. Lucy was quite mesmerized by all of it when she got up this morning.
Khaliyah was pretty impressed too.
Rain can really make you sleepy though.
When Lucy woke up from her morning nap, the rain had slowed quite a bit so we ran to the store. We were there for almost 2 hours. Even though I held her for the entire time, Lucy was fabulous! She talked to people as they passed by, smiled at everyone, and then took a 2 1/2 hour nap. She really wore herself out! I was even able to go get the boys from the bus stop without taking her out of her car seat. Lucy discovered the baby doll that Emmy gave her when she woke up this afternoon. She just kept squealing and talking to it.
Little High Chair Baby
We finally got Lucy a high chair yesterday. After finding out the chair Emmy gave us was recalled, I wanted to make sure I looked around and researched before I got a new one. It is crazy how all the high chairs I thought were fabulous with the other kids are all gone. Lucy really seemed to like her chair at first. She seems so tiny in it though!
Late to Bed, Even Later to Rise
Lucy went to bed about an hour later than usual last night because I had vet science and got home late. This caused a snowball effect where Lucy was Still asleep at 9:45am.
I finally had to wake her up because we were meeting Mrs. Brandi and Maedreigh for storytime at 10:45. The girls are so incredibly cute! I love when they are able to get together. (I love my time with Brandi too.π) Today’s storytime was quite crazy. The library had early voting, so they had the babies off in a corner of the library behind some book shelves. There were SO MANY babies! Given the situation, the girls did fabulous. It was nice when storytime was over and Lucy and Maedreigh got to just hang out with the toys in peace.
There is enough stimulation in storytime that Lucy gets some good sleep afterwards.
Lucy just cracks me up. She is such a tease. Her newest thing to do is play peek a boo with me when I have to cover her up with her blanket to nurse her. I was nursing her in the van after storytime and she would suck then come off. I could feel her little cheeks get tight as she was smiling, so I would peek into the blanket and say, “Boo!” She would squeal, shake her hands and feet, and then go back to nursing again. She continued this little game then rest of the day, every time I had to cover her. I just love her to pieces! βΊοΈ
Pictures with Pets
Lucy is still just having a rough time with whatever is bugging her. No other symptoms but crankiness. She did wake up happy for a little bit when she realized Gypsy wanted to be friendly this morning.
And when we were reading her book.
Then Khaliyah came to help us get pictures before Lucy fell asleep.
Lucy Loves Khaliyah! I think the feeling is mutual. π
Her red outfit makes her little lips look so red. βΊοΈβ€οΈ
Daddy Comes To Swim Class
Sam visited me and Lucy today at swim class. It was great because he could take pictures of her while we were in the water. She loves to swim! She had such a rough morning, I thought she wouldn’t make it through class, but she did fabulous!
Poor Baby Girl
Wow! What a rough night. I don’t think I even got 3hours of sleep last night. Lucy just seems miserable. It still seems like she is teething, but nothing is showing yet. Today it really seemed like her upper guns were swollen and she was holding her mouth really funny. I cannot see anything at all though. I have even been trying to see if she has thrush instead. But I don’t see anything that looks like it. I am hoping that whatever it is, it goes away soon. She is so tired and cranky. She needs a break. I was able to capture a few happy moments tonight with her when Nana was visiting us. Lucy really enjoys when the kids play with her. I Love the excitement she has for them. πβ€οΈ
Visiting Grandma & Grandpa’s
Lucy is still a bit out of whack lately. Not sure what is going on, but she just doesn’t seem herself. She woke up to be up at 5am this morning. I don’t know what that was all about, but I definitely do not want to repeat that! I stayed home from church with her today because I knew she would not last through a 2 hour stake conference session. I was a little bummed because they made some big changes. I guess I’ll hear more next week. After the rest of the family came home from church, we went to Grandma and Grandpa’s house. Everyone had a good time, although I am starting to think Lu has a fear of men. It seems like lately every time Lu sees a man she starts crying. Tonight when her uncle and her grandpa talked to her she started sobbing a really sad sob. Not sure what it is, but I am hoping it is just a phase.
Lu really liked Grandma’s nail polish.
Silly girl liked sitting in Grandma’s little rocker.
When things quieted down, she fell asleep on Daddy. βΊοΈβ€οΈ
To the Pumpkin Patch
It is family tradition to visit the Flower Mound Pumkpin Patch every year. This year, since all the kids are in school except Lucy, we decided to go on a Saturday. Woah, was that mistake! It was CRAZY! People were crammed in everywhere! Next year we will do things differently. The kids did have a good time, except Alex was heart broken that he could not go into the hay bale maze. Totally ridiculous in my opinion. They said he had to be 6. Their sign said 4-11, but someone crossed through it with a sharpie and changed it to 6. Last year Alex went through it and he was 4. Oh well. Next year he will be 6.
Lu just wanted to eat the pumpkins, and pick at the hay. The chaos didn’t bother her.
Brie’s Birthday
Today we were celebrating Brie’s birthday, but without Brie. Kind of a sad day. π’ The Williams also left for their new adventure to Utah. We didn’t say goodbye, though, because we know we will see them soon. They mean so much to us, we are not going to let distance keep us apart. Brie is getting a wonderful birthday present though. She gets her best friend right up the road. I know that will make her day. Since we didn’t have a cake or chocolate chip pancakes to share with Brie, Lucy ate everything else.
Her hippo:
And her popper balls:
And then she took a nap.
Lucy and I also ate lunch with Wii today. He is such a great big brother. I love how gentle he is with her, and how much he wants to make her happy.
