Lu loves to play with her shaky egg. Best invention ever!
Bob the Builder’s hat makes it even better. π Lucy enjoys her bus too.
Babies are so cute! Especially when they can cuddle up anywhere and be happy.
I think Gypsy really likes Lucy. Today we picked up Miller and Quinn to spend a few days with us. All the kids love to get together! It was a cold and extremely wet rainy day, so they all got lots of indoor cousin playtime.
We had some very special visitors come to see us today. Our friends, the Lindbergs, were visiting family in the Dallas area so they took a detour from San Antonio to visit with us at Braums. They had not met Lucy yet.
Alexa is good friends with Brie, and Fiona was one of my most favorite nursery buddies. She has grown up so much since then!βΊοΈ Carolyn and Natalie were not only good friends, but they were also team mates at Golden Grip. They were so happy to see each other.
Lu pretty much slept the whole time. Recovering from Turkey Day is was hard work!
We have so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving! One of our biggest blessings is Lucy! She is such a delight to our entire family. She makes everyone smile. Today was rainy and cool. I made Lucy a little turkey outfit (with LOTS OF GLITTER!) for a cute photo op. However, trying pictures before her nap was not the best idea.
What a difference a little sleep makes.βΊοΈ
She looked so stinkin’ adorable! We managed to catch some pictures just in time too! The rain was just starting to come down, and you could feel the temperature getting cooler.
Even Alex wanted to join in. π
Lu thought he was lunch. π
After pictures, we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa’s house for Thanksgiving dinner.
The kids had fun buckling her into Quinn’s baby doll stroller. Lucy loved it! She loves Quinn too. It will be so neat to see their relationship blossom once Lucy gets a little more mobile.
Lots of fun and excitement made for one worn out little girl!
Yep, Lucy has finally cut her first tooth! It is probably the explanation to all her horrible grouchy days and sleepless nights lately. At least she is sleeping today.
And she is clapping happy!
We were even able to go shopping and she stayed happy the entire time. She fell asleep on our way home with all her goodies. π
Now if she would just quit trying out her sucking and chompers on my arms, we’ll be great. βΊοΈ
Well I guess everyone is born with one. Some just show theirs sooner than others! Lucy is one of Those! π³ Today I was going to take the kids to the Perot Museum. However, when we drove to the Members’ Parking Lot and saw that it was closed, along with all the other lots in the area, we decided we didn’t want to brave those crowds. We went to Northpark instead. Lucy slept for the first little bit, then when she woke up, she was so excited to be there. EVERYONE knew it as well! She kept SCREAMING her head off. Happy screams, but still everyone knew she was there. π³ I bought the kids a shake and of course Lucy would discover Alex’s as soon as he took his lid off. Shake went everywhere. Luckily Lu didn’t put any in her mouth. Pure ice cream and a lactose intolerant baby do not work well together. We cleaned everything up, then walked over to see the duck pond. Bad idea! Lucy wanted to get IN the duck pond, and because I would not let her, she threw an incredible temper tantrum. Why would Mom not let her swim in the duck pond?!π³π© I am really scared for this one. She wants her way, and when she wants it, she wants it now! I am hoping this is all just a phase that will pass. We made quite an exit. We came in and everyone kept commenting on what an adorable baby she was. We left and could not leave fast enough.
Don’t let the cuteness fool you. π
She is one power packed little bit of attitude.
Who wants everyone to know she is here.
Lucy slept horribly last night! By the time she finally slept hard, we were late getting up for church. It was freezing outside. I was utterly exhausted. So, I decided to stay home with her. Good move too! She was so grouchy when she woke up. She has just been SO crabby. She was awake for about an hour, then fell back asleep for 2 1/2 hours. I just held her the entire time. She was so tired too! She woke up much happier, and even enjoyed riding on her Minnie car.
Alex had to help push her! He is such a great big brother and a great helper with Lucy. βΊοΈ
The rest of the day, we just took it easy and relaxed. Lucy loved it.
(I think someone looks a bit like her Mama. π)
I love when Lu tests out her noise making capabilities. It is so cute!
