So Tired

This little girl is just NOT sleeping! I am not sure what is going on, but whatever it is, I’m exhausted! I cannot imagine how she feels. She plays so hard during the day.   I cannot believe she has so much energy. Now it is bedtime, and she still will not give up. πŸ˜•  This might be a long night.

Quinn Comes to Play

Wow! Is this day over yet?! What a CRAZY day! Sam is still out of town. I am flying solo with award ceremonies, babysitting, school lunch dates, birthday parties, Girl Scouts, and end of cookie season. What chaos! But we survived! William was awarded TOP Dog this morning. I am so proud of him. He tries so very hard, and is such a good boy. He had no idea either.    We went home and picked up Quinn, then came back a little later to have lunch with William. Lucy usually brings him a ton of attention, but with Quinn there too, the questions just kept rolling for him. Kids are so funny. They think everything is amazing. ☺️ When I brought the girls home, Quinn was begging to go outside. It was a beautiful day! The girls had so much fun swinging, climbing, sliding, and just enjoying the sunshine. Quinny is such a sweetheart!   Quinn loved pushing Lucy in her buggy, then having me push her. Lucy loved it too. The girls had a fabulous day. After Quinn went home, I ran everywhere for birthday parties and Girl Scouts. I even had to give Lucy her first Oreo cookie to hold her over until we got home. (Our little secret!πŸ˜‰) We were all exhausted in the end.   Lucy is confused about whose bed this is. πŸ˜‚

Car Adventures, MetroMoms, & Human Vacuum

Lucy Loves her Elsa car. She thinks she is such a big girl when she rides it.   Lu and I went to our first MetroMoms event with Mrs. Jaime  and Mrs. Brianna tonight and had a fabulous time.   I even won a $150 diaper bag.   Brianna won a Britax BSafe infant car seat. We were so excited for her because she really needed one. Her baby girl is due in April. We ate dinner and enjoyed chatting with other moms. It was GREAT!😊 Lucy was great too! Sam is out of town right now, so Lu had to tag along. I couldn’t ask for a better baby fir going out! I hope she stays this way. When we got home, Lu had to catch up on sibling time. She loves when Natalie plays music. Tonight, it was her flute.

She also loves to “vacuum”the flor. I swear this girl can find it all! She has the eyes of an eagle, and hands faster than lightning. And of course everything goes……in the mouth!  William is wonderful at keeping her safe though. He is so sweet with her and loves to look after her. It didn’t take long for Lucy to wear out. It was a busy day!

An “Alex Day”

Alex woke up with a horrible cough this morning. Poor guy. His nose has just been terrible for MONTHS, but after 5 rounds of antibiotics, I am just not giving him anything else to try and clear it up. It doesn’t really seem to bother him, so I don’t see the reason. This morning, however, I thought he was going to need a breathing treatment. Luckily, as he got moving and had breakfast, he started to sound better. I kept him home just to be safe though. Lucy loved having the playmate.   Alex read to her, played with her, and was so loving.   She received a thank you card from Maedreigh and Mrs. Brandi today, and thought it was the coolest thing ever. The Taylers are awesome! So glad to have them as friends.

The Hot Air Balloon Girl

I took Lucy to the mall for a good walk and play place workout today. It was cold and rainy outside, and I was not wanting to just stay in the house. Lucy had a blast in the play area. She kept waving to people and saying “Hi.” She actually followed around a sweet little 14 month old girl for a while. I guess Lucy thought she was her buddy. πŸ˜‚   There was a mall decoration of a girl and boy in a hot air balloon hanging from the ceiling that Lucy was mesmerized by. Every time she would remember they were there, she would reach out her hand to wave and say “Hi” to it. She is such a funny little girl.☺️❀️

Hi!

Lucy is saying “Hi!” to everyone, and anything that looks like a person. It is so funny. Today, we were in Party City and Lucy said “hi” to a lady that had her back kind of turned away from us. She turned around to say “hi” back, and then started cracking up when she realized it wasn’t me, but Lucy. I don’t think any of the other kids have been this vocally and eye contact social like Lucy is. It is still so funny to me how she can be so friendly, as long as people keep their distance. I wonder what she is going to be like once she gets over the “Mom is the only one that can hold me” phase. 😳    At least she lets Alex feed her. 😜 He is such a good helper!

Daddy’s So Funny

We slept in a little bit this morning, and just enjoyed the quiet.   It is sure nice to start of a Sunday morning that way. We had a great day at church. Lucy is finding all kinds of new things to crack up at. Tonight it was Daddy talking into a cup. She thought it was hilarious!

Into It All!

Oh sleepy baby moments! I cherish you because I know this will not last too much longer!

When you are awake, you are into EVERYTHING now! Everyday, you find something new. Today was no exception!  From Legos, to new books, fuzz balls, the oven, and a crazy sister, you found it!

Pinewood Derby

Today was William’s Pinewood Derby. The boys had guitar lessons first, and Lucy played with Gracie.  Gracie, like Khaliyah, is very protective of Lucy. It is so cute to watch. When it was time for the big race, we were so excited. William’s car was barely ready, but it came in 3rd Place! We were so proud of William!   Crazy kids!  To celebrate, we went to Orange Leaf. Lucy really wanted to have what everyone else had. With her dairy intolerance however, she could only have the sorbet type yogurt. For her it was pineapple.  Her face tells all! πŸ˜‚

Lucy’s Playset

Lucy is really enjoying music. Now when I get a shower, she usually dances, sings, and jumps to the music on my phone. Hopefully this continues to work for a while. πŸ˜‰  The big kids got a nice new play fort for Christmas, but it is way too big for Lucy. The Sharps were getting rid of their Little Tykes playset, so they gave it to Lucy. Mike was so nice and even came and put it all together for her.   She LOVES it! She even cleaned it herself. πŸ˜‚ Thanks so much Sharp Family!
