Today was a busy run around day. Wednesdays always seem to get that way. I was going to take Lucy to the Perot, but she had a bit of a low grade fever.  She took an early nap, then we enjoyed the sunshine.  I am LOVING these beautiful Texas days!  Lucy is too, awake and asleep. 😊

Lucy loves the piano. As she gets older, she is really enjoying just sitting and making sounds.   If someone is playing, she has to be right there with them. I am hoping she has the same love of music that the other kids do.

The big kids had an inservice day from school today. So, we went shoe shopping and got in some good playtime. Lucy sure loves her pink chihuahua. She’ll talk to him, pat him, and give him kisses.   She love Khaliyah too! Their relationship is so sweet. Tonight, Lucy decided she wanted Khaliyah’s ball.  Lucy tried to be sneaky while Khaliyah was “sleeping.” Khaliyah was too smart for that. 😉

It’s the day of love, and Natalie and I had a blast taking pictures of Lucy in our scenes we made.    Lucy is so hard to photograph now that she is mobile! This girl doesn’t want to sit still!    Natalie really wanted me to make her a matching tutu. So I surprised her, and we tried to get pictures. Didn’t exactly work out because Lucy is pictured out, but we’ll try again soon.  She just wanted to sleep, and even slept through all of sacrament meeting. In the evening, we Facetimed Brianna. Lucy loves to see Brie!   It was a great Valentine’s!  

It’s the day before Valentine’s and what to we do: Get up early and go scouting for food! Probably looked like we were trying to rob a house at 9am on a Saturday morning, but it was nippy outside and the boys needed some sort of jacket. 😂 Can’t say how much I LOVED watching Nate help William go door to door collecting food. It was great! Afterwards, we came home and enjoyed a BEAUTIFUL day. Khaliyah was tormented by a squirrel on our neighbors roof, and I quickly tried to finish Lulu’s Valentine’s outfit.   Lucy wanted nothing to do with taking pictures at first. She only wanted to swing and play. 😳😜 Silly girl LOVES outside! (A girl in a tutu in a swing is an interesting combination.) Even after coming inside, she wanted nothing to do with pictures.   I have to say, it was worth the wait though. When she was ready to be photographed, she was absolutely adorable!      Even Quinny and Gracie helped get some shots.  Way too much cuteness to handle! ☺️❤️💕 

I am the room mom for William’s class this year. It has been really exciting to see the kids and celebrate holidays with them. William loves to have Lucy come and visit too.I snuck out to visit Alex’s class this time. Usually I don’t have any other helpers in the class, but today I did.  He was so excited for me and Lucy to come and visit his class. Lucy just enjoyed everyone’s goodies! In the evening, Sam took Natalie to her Daddy/Daughter Dance. I am so glad de gets to experience these events with her dad. She looked absolutely beautiful! ☺️  In the craziness of it all, Lucy’s teeth finally both broke through. Horray! They have to come down now, but I hope it makes her a happier girl. She has been miserable. Off to bed she goes. I think today was a big success. ☺️💕  

Lucy had her 9 month check-up scheduled for this morning. I have not been able to shower very easily lately with crazy little bit everywhere. So, I got up early and decided to try and lay Lucy in her portacrib to sleep while I took a shower.  It worked! She even woke up happy when it was time to get up.   We’ll be trying this more often. Lucy’s checkup went well. We decided to still wait for her vaccines since she is having such a hard time teething. She has only gained a pound in 3 months, but I think it is because she is moving ALL the time. We went to lunch with Nana afterwards at Ballard Steet Cafe. It was a nice day.   In the evening, Lu enjoyed exploring her room. I cannot wait to get it finished.

Ms. Brandi and Maedreigh invited us over for a play date and picture day today. Lucy and I had such a great time! Ms. Brandi had set up the cutest photo op backdrop for the girls for Valentine’s Day coming up. We had to crack up though! Taking pictures of 2 mobile babies is quite a challenge and a work out. 😂   We got a couple cute pictures of the girls. They are both so precious! Lucy was still a bit off today though. I cannot wait to have my smiley, happy, non-teething baby back.

Wow! The last 3 months seem to have gone by SO fast! I waited until today to take Lucy’s 9 month pictures, but maybe that wasn’t such a great idea.   She has not been a happy camper at all. When I finally got her calmed down, she proved she was not having any picture business.  Little stinker kept turning away from the camera. I just had to get pictures during play time. They came out great. ☺️ I guess she didn’t want to be posed.   I love seeing how long her eyelashes are in the sun.   Lucy really enjoys being outside. She loves swinging with Mommy too. Lucy’s 9 month tidbits: She weighs 17 1/2pounds and is 27 1/2″ long. She has 3 teeth, with the 4th’s corner peeking out. She is a horrible teether! Lots of cold pizza crusts are her favorite. She pretty much hates baby food. The kind she likes the best is Plum Organics Sweet Potato, Mango, Millet. She loves reading books, having “The wheels on the bus” sung to her, dancing to the ABC song, and trying to walk EVERYWHERE! She also loves baby dolls and stuffed animals. Her favorites are Lilly, Gigi, and her pink chihuahua. Words she says: Dada, Bubba, Ree-La (Khaliyah), Baby, Hello, Hi, Go, Out, Eat, Eye, Bubble, Apple. She hates loud noises, like the blender and sometimes the vacuum. Her favorite activity is to pick leaves out of the dead grass.

We might live in Texas, but our Cajun blood runs strong! Today is Mardi Gras and we could eat King Cake all year long! 😆
