Six Flags Round 2

Another rainy spring break day! All of our plans are being washed away. At least Lucy is a happy camper.    She has figured out how to get around with her new walker. What started out as cautious baby steps, has now turned into an all out sprint. 😳 I don’t think walk is going to be in her vocabulary for long. Run is more like it. With all the rain, the kids have been inside much of their break. Some parts have been great with that though, like seeing them interact with Lucy. I love that she and Natalie both enjoy music.

Look Who’s 10 Months Old!

This silly girl! ☺️❀️ What a joy this little girl is to us all! It is so hard to believe that she is almost a year old.  Even though we are not sleeping much AT ALL at night, she is so happy during the day.  Lu is super social, by far my most interactive baby with other people. She is coming out of her separation anxiety phase, FINALLY! It has only taken 6 months! Certain things still bother her about people though: mainly hats and glasses. She is an eye baby, and likes to see people’s eyes.

Lucy’s 10 Month Tid Bits:                    Currently weighs 18 pounds 2 ounces, not sure how long she is. She has 4 teeth, with 2 more trying to come through on the top. She has taken 3 steps on her own, and the longest she has stood by herself unsupported is 5 seconds. She loves to eat pizza crust. Any other food is purely hit and miss. Sometimes she likes something, and the next time she tries it, she doesn’t. Very picky! Her favorite activities are exploring, climbing the stairs, playing peekaboo in the curtains, singing, swimming (can stay under for 4 seconds at this point), and dancing. She has really found her own groove. I love that when she hears music she immediately starts shaking her arms, booty bumpin’ with her head bopping, and singing. It is SO cute! Her favorite book is Pat the Bunny, and her favorite songs are “Wheels on the Bus”, “ABCs”, and “Twinkle Twinkle.” She is very sensitive. She lets us know when we have done her wrong  by saying “Baby baby” over and over again, especially when we put her in her car seat. She is not a fan of going in it. She does not like loud noises, like the blender and sometimes the vacuum. Lucy’s words at this point are: Baby, Dada, Mama (Yay it came back!☺️), ball, Reelah (for Khaliyah), go, outside, Brie, this, Hadley, Hi, hello, up, and uh-oh. Lu loves to give hugs! I love it!

Happy Birthday Daddy

Poor Daddy got kind of overlooked today. We had an early morning Stake Conference meeting, that made us have to rush out the door early this morning.    Lucy was exhausted because we had to wake her up to leave after having

Celebrating AlexΒ

Today was Alex’s birthday party. It has been a while since we have had parties at our house. We all had a great time.

I started decorating a few days ago, because with Lucy, I get pulled away often. She actually was such an amazing baby and let me get a lot of done while she played contentedly beside me.  The kids all got to decorate their own cars for the drive-in.  Kids amaze me at how creative they can be. Willian insisted on making Lucy’s car from a Girl Scout cookie box.  I think it turned out adorable!  The kids loved the Minion movie…  …and Natalie and Mandy loved being their concession stand servers.  Couldn’t beat the pizza, popcorn, drinks, and their favorite candy.  To top it off, Alex’s Minion cake was a huge success!  Happy Birthday Alex! 😊  Lucy loved her car too! It was a busy but fun filled day.

Singing Twinkles

This is what it looks like trying to go up the stairs often at our house. Everyone wants to be so helpful to Lucy. It is super sweet, but can get very crowded! πŸ˜‚   We went to visit Grandpa today, for the boys’ guitar lessons. Lucy loves looking out of all their windows.
I started singing Twinkle Twinkle to her, and she took over the singing and the motions. This little girl LOVES music! I can tell it is in her blood.πŸ’•

The boys are really getting good with their playing. I cannot wait to have them back home for school so they have more time to practice.  William is going to be a natural, just like Nate. He has picked things right up.
