Visiting Lifelong Friends

Today is April Fool’s Day. I got a text early in the morning from Brie. What started out as a funny joke…   …rapidly turned into horrified panic as she realized what was inside the cups outside the of the doors in the freshman hallway.
The morning quickly changed to a save the fish rally at Helaman Hall. With all the talk of fish, Lucy kept signing “fish” to me, so we went upstairs to visit Savannah’s beta.

Lucy is fascinated with this fish!  The view from Eric’s house is gorgeous. Today was our visit friend day. We headed into Provo to get Brie for the weekend. While we waited for lunchtime, we had to take some selfies.
We met up with Shattie, Shawn, and their spouses for lunch at the Brick Oven. It was really great to see them all. Shattie has been such a huge support for Brie here in Provo.  After lunch, Brie took us on a tour of campus. I had to go to Jamba Juice and the bakery to try the treats. They were fabulous!
Lu enjoyed checking out the school crest.  Brie enjoyed taking us to all her hang out spots.
She especially loves the greenhouse. Lucy loved it too.
We went back to Brie’s dorm for a tour, then we headed up the mountains to the Williams’ house.  It was so great to see them all! We sure do miss them! They were so nice and made dinner for us, and we laughed and talked until it got late. I cannot wait to see them again in the summer with all the kids. It will be a blast!  For now, Lucy enjoyed being the center of all the attention.

Temple Square

Lu woke up early this morning, so she went back to sleep for a cat nap after I got her dressed.
She loves Uncle Eric kisses!  We decided to go to Temple Sqaure today, but had to stop at Cafe Rio first! Yum! It was fabulous!
Entertainment and all!    In Temple Square, the flowers were gorgeous!   It was such a wonderful feeling to be there with MY family!     Lucy is so funny! She HAD to walk on her own, which drew so much attention. All the visitors, and especially the sister missionaries, kept stopping to talk to her. Lucy just hammed it up. She is crazy!        Eric really knew how to connect with her for great pictures! 💕  After Temple Square, we walked across the road to the mall.   Lu loved the water and would have preferred to be in it. In the evening, we visited Aunt Joan and Uncle Gary. It was great to see them. Lucy was REALLY walking too.   Aunt Joan wanted to hold Lu so bad. Even Easter eggs couldn’t distract her though.  Hopefully one day she’ll let others love on her besides mom and dad. She has really been blessed with a wonderful family!
