Happy Happy 2nd Birthday Lucy!!!

It is SO hard to believe 2 years have already gone by since we welcomed this precious little girl into our lives. We love her so very much and cannot imagine our family without her! She has brought so much joy and laughter into our home in these two years. I can’t say it has come without a lot of struggles. Lucy by far has been my most challenging little bundle of joy, but I would not change her for the world! She has the most funny sense of humor and loves to laugh, and make others laugh. She is a dancing, singing, smiling ball of energy and we adore her! This morning we celebrated with our traditional chocolat chip pancakes. We had to be quick since some of the kids needed to head out the door for school. After breakfast, we headed to the zoo. It was a beautiful day and not crowded at all. The kids climbed and played……rode the monorail, got wet in the stream……rode the train (while Quinny napped in the stroller 😏),  played some more, rode the carousel, and then crashed! We stayed almost until it closed, and boy were they worn out! They were all so good though. When everyone made it home, we had an ice cream Sunday buffet…… then Lucy opened her family presents. The look on her face when she saw these was priceless!❤️ Happy Happy Birthday precious girl! I am so glad you loved your birthday day!

Post Birthday Party Fun

When all our partying was done for the day, and the house was put back in order, we promised the kids we would take them to Celebration Park. Natalie had to take Lu for a few more rides around the backyard while everyone finished getting their swimsuits.Quinn and Lucy were not sure what to think when we first got there. The splash pad was open, so we were able to let them play in the water, but  it was kind of cold, so that didn’t last too long. 🤣 Wesley came along too! He is the sweetest young man ever! He included Lucy in everything he did and was so helpful with her. I am so impressed by him.

Holy Moly Wiggles!

Lucy has been in love with The Wiggles for quite a while now. When trying to decide on what to do for her second birthday, all my ideas were not even on the table. It had to be Wiggles! So…. naturally we had a Wiggles Party! It was really fabulous! I planned for an hour and a half, thinking two year olds would probably get tired of playing after that, but I should have made it longer. We could have easily done 3 hours. For days, Lucy has been asking if it was time for her Wiggles Party. She was SO excited when we finally told her yes. When the kids arrived, they all got a special Wiggles Tshirt to keep their regular clothes clean while we got messy. First the kids played playdoh outside, while William dressed as Captain Feathersword. Once he was finished, he and Natalie took the kids on rides in “The Big Red Truck”. It was a pretty hot day outside, however, so we didn’t stay out too long. Next we came inside to put our “bears” to sleep while we had snacks and cake. The kids were so adorable singing together. After cake, we did our punch piñata. This was a super pain in the butt to make and took FOREVER, but it was WAY worth it for kids this age. Sure beats worrying that kids will be hit with a bat or that some kids won’t get any of the treats/surprises. Once everyone had their turns, it was already getting late. Being that it was a super busy Saturday, most of Lu’s friends had to go before we played shaving cream and finger painted. We said our goodbyes to our friends, and then went back outside. Lucy and Maedreigh sure had a blast getting VERY messy! The big kids decided to shaving cream the trampoline while the little girls made their creations. They all had a blast too! When all our friends were gone and the mess was all cleaned up, we let Lucy open her presents from her friends. She is so precious! She was so excited to open each one, and so thankful to her friends that have them to her. Her little buddy Spencer gave her some great books and a chocolate bar. I have to say I think her best dancing came out over the joy she felt getting her very own choloate bar! This has been one of my most favorite party days ever! Happy Happy Birthday my sweet Lucy! I am so glad you LOVED your Wiggles Party!

Here Come the Cousins!

The kids were super excited because Emily and Dusty were going on a trip. That meant Miller and Quinn were coming to stay with us. For almost a week! We had many great adventures planned. We started with a park trip. The kids always end up in the sand. The boys made elaborate castles……while the girls just enjoyed walking in it and dumping it in and out of the bucket.

Dead Feeper?

Our fish is so strange. Walking into the boys’ room to this, I have convinced myself several times that he is dead. However, it is just how Feeper “sleeps” I guess. As soon as he sees you, he flips over and acts completely normal. Every animal in our house has quite a personality. I guess fish are no exception. 🤣

Dancing and a Day with Maedreigh

Lucy really loves her little dance class. Even though there are only 4 kids, at most, it is the perfect size for her. Miss Kristen, her dance teacher, is just FABULOUS with these little girls. She is so patient and kind with them. While she has expectations of them, she also lets them be toddlers, which they definitely are. When all the dancing fun is over, the girls get their most anticipated stickers and glitter.Lucy is very particular about Not having her sticker and glitter on the same side. I made the big mistake of thinking it would be a good idea to do our Mommy/Daughter Date Day AFTER dance class. We asked Ms. Brandi and Maedreigh to join us for lunch at Chick FilA and then playtime at Playstreet. Lunch went great, and play went well, for a short bit, until kids started taking things away from Lucy. She is so tiny, she just doesn’t stand a chance. She woke up so early this morning, I was not thinking about how tired she might be after class.Needless to say, once she started to melt down, there was no going back from there. We didn’t even get to play much at all, and got NO pictures with our friends. But we HAD to leave and get a nap. I haven’t seen grouchy fits like this before. We didn’t even make it a mile down the road before Lucy was OUT! I will have to plan better next time.

Singing for Brie

Brie is home!!!! And we are so excited! Now Lucy just wants to show off. She LOVES having Brie home. It is SOOOO cute! She knows that is her big sister, even though she hasn’t seen her in a while. Tonight, Lucy was singing for Brie, and Brianna recorded her. I am hoping by posting these links, I will save space on my blog account, but will still be able to access some priceless videos. Worth a try, right!
