Happy Father’s Day Sam!
The kids and I got up early this morning, when Sam got in the shower, to make him a special breakfast. Lucy and Alex made him an omelet.
William made bacon, and Natalie made Nutella crescent rolls.

The kids decorated balloons for him, and made a special place at the table.
I think he really liked it. We forgot to get a picture of his special gift though, a Death by Chocolate box! The kids know how much he LOVES chocolate (especially dark chocolate!), so they wanted to get as many things dark chocolate as would fit in a box. It was a huge hit!
After church, we headed to Grandma and Grandpa’s house to celebrate with them.
We got Grandpa some vintage collectible vinyl albums. He was so excited.
Lucy was really excited to watch him open them too.
After presents, we went to visit Shelly’s new town home. It is very pretty. We were treated with ice cream and then headed home. It has been a super busy weekend!

Last Birthday Dinner Until the Fall! (Hooray!)
It has been such a challenge to do our traditional birthday dinners with Mom and Dad this year. So many things have happened all around. Tonight was our last one that we were behind on. Lucy’s! Sam and I thought it would be fun to take her to Rainforest Cafe.
Lucy loves animals, just like Brie, so we thought it was very fitting. She LOVED it!

Summer Adventures Abound
With it being summer, I decided to do something different this year. Each week, the kids and I are finding a new special treat. They always ask to try out new things they’ve heard about, so now is their chance! This morning, we ventured to Hurts Donuts in Frisco. It was a bit of a drive, but we all loved it! Very worth it!
Alex enjoyed their HUGE Apple Pie donut.
Natalie loved their Oreo Cheesecake. (I’ve got to say, I thought it was heavenly too!)
Lucy LOVED Cookie Monster! Blue and all!
William devoured this enormous Maple Bacon Long John.
(He had already eaten a Cotton Candy donut, but said it wasn’t that great.) Boy, this kid can eat!

After our fun at the donut shop, it was a race back to meet our friends at the pool.
Little Miss Lu’s hair is slowly getting longer. I am LOVING her new piggy tail look! 😍
And she’s ready!
Of course no trip to the pool is complete without a snack RIGHT when we get there!
I love having a community pool so much! It is so nice to get to hang out with friends and just enjoy the summer together. (With someone else taking care of chemicals and cleaning it!)

Pool Time Love
After Natalie got home from camp, she really wanted to swim with the boys. So…we were off to the pool again! Lu fell asleep on the way there, and didn’t end up swimming. She had fun cheering on the boys as they jumped in when she woke up though.
Lu really misses her sibling when they are gone. She really clung to Natalie today.
Nothing beats a trip to the pool than finding feathers.
And maybe seeing your crazy brother trying to be a cowboy! 🤣
