While Dad was camping with William, and Natalie was playing volleyball, I took the little kids to the Home Depot Kids Workshop this morning. Today they were making a fire station bank. Alex and Lucy really did a great job!
Alex needed very little help to get his done.
Lucy was quite the painter!
I just had to make sure it stayed off her clothes. We have a long time to go before Halloween!
After some amazing building, we picked up William from camp and headed off to our neighborhood fall festival.
The kids got to decorate pumpkins with foam sticker faces.
They came out so cute!
Fir lunch, they had corn dogs, chips, Jimmy Johns subs, and Cotton Patch Dr. Pepper Chocolate Cake for dessert.
This little one managed to eat the entire piece without getting a drop on her clothes! Never would happen again if we tried!
William LOVED flying with Lu down the slides. He always brings out her best laughs!
There were a few games around the party zone (Not as many as last year though)and the kids kept coming back to the frisbee toss. I think they gave out the most treats! π

After wearing us all out with Fall Festival fun, Alex STILL had a soccer game to play.
He did awesome as always! Lucy even cheered him on an took his pictures. π
At least he made it into this picture. π

National Night Out 2017 Β Β In The Rain!
Our Mel Science kits came in the mail and the boys were so eager to try out the experiments. It is so nice to have Lucy at preschool a couple days to allow us to do crazy chemistry without a toddler about. Fire + Toddler = No Good!
These sugar snakes were really cool! They came with a bit of a learning curve (Mom melting some crucial components), but we finally made some great ones!
After we grabbed Lu from school, Natalie had a game to cheer at. Unfortunately, it looked like the forecast was not in any of our favors.
We waited for a bit at the stadium to see what would transpire. Rain! Lots of rain! But the girls cheered anyways.
We had National Night Out and it was SO wet! I didnβt even grab an umbrella OR the stroller. π³
We took shelter in the fire truck…
…and under the PTSA pavilion.
Then under the park pavilion with about a million other people! At least there were treats under there!
It was sad that it rained because this is one of our most looked forward to nights of the year. Lucy was wanting to ride the ponies, but we had to settle for only the Train.
She was all smiles!

The rain finally even let up for the firework show.
Wet night, but in the end we had a blast! π
