We visited our lot today, and low and behold, there’s a house!!!! What a wonderful sight to see!!!
The second story and roof are not up yet, but still it feels great to actually see our house and know it’s real.
The kids really wanted to go upstairs, but with no treads on them, it was a unanimous, “No!” I’m sure the next time we visit, we’ll really be able to feel like it’s becoming our home.
It was bitter cold (in the low 20’s), and pretty foggy, but I still can’t wait to call this beautiful place home!

My First Swept Driveway

The Snow That Left Me Stuck

A Little Shakespeare
Natalie had the privilege of performing in “An Evening with Elizabeth” with her school’s theater program. She has not been on stage since she performed with WAG when she was very little. I have to say, I was quite impressed. 😊
Her teacher would not allow photography during the performance, so I was unable to capture Natalie’s role as Cleopatra. 😦 But she did fantastic!
She also played the role of Bess, the queen’s lady in waiting.
Natalie was super excited to pull Lucy into the action as they ended the play with The Galliard dance.

Picking Uncle Eric’s Tree
We have some amazing friends, that are now our next door neighbors to Eric’s house. When they moved into the house next door, there was lots of work to be done with their yard. One of the main things was to get rid of a large blue spruce growing up against their house.
Eric asked them if they could wait to remove it until Thanksgiving, so he could use it as his Christmas tree. They agreed, so today, we got to cut it down.
It is a beautiful tree!
And makes for a very nice, and Large!, Christmas tree!
Lucy had a blast running through Uncle Eric’s house trying to find “ornaments” for it.

Thanksgiving 2018
We were invited to a Pie Night with some friends the night before Thanksgiving. Lots and lots of pie! Can you believe they have a basketball court In Their House!
That’s where our kids hung out most of the night!
This Thanksgiving was our very first Thanksgiving with just us. (Plus Eric😊)
The kids helped cook a wonderful meal…
…while Uncle Eric spoiled them in between.
We could see the snow coming down just as we were about to eat.
We had turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, rolls, mashed potatoes, and green bean casserole. William made chocolate covered strawberries. Natalie made pumpkin pie.
We had a good laugh when Lucy asked Sam for the turkey leg. I guess it was so tender that as he went to break it off, the entire leg bone cane straight out of the meat. Lucy then pretended she was a dog.
After our dinner, Sam and the kids went to visit his Utah family since I had to work. They had a blast at his aunt’s house, with Aunts, Uncles, and lots of cousins. (Sam has never been good at taking pictures. 😭)
As the weekend went on, the snow continued. The kids were in love!
Even Khaliyah loved playing in and eating the snow.
There was lots of snowball fights, building, sledding, and pure fun! A wonderful first Thanksgiving in Utah!
