Pure Exhaustion!

Lucy has been SO excited to have her things back. It has been non-stop play! (Like Christmas x100!) She has played so hard, it has taken everything out of her.I totally don’t mind the snuggles though.

Dinner with The Williams and Sharps

We were invited to have dinner at the Williams’ tonight. They said we didn’t need to bring anything, but I don’t like doing that. So, I thought brownies would be a fine idea. That is, unless you can’t find any of your baking ware. I had to settle for kid sized oven mitts to get the brownies out of the oven, and unused pie pans, from Thanksgiving, to cook them in. I bet they’ll still taste amazing! When we arrived at the Williams’, we didn’t even make it to the dot before Lucy bolted off to go visit Latte and Rosalind. This girl is shaping up to be an ultimate animal lover just like Brie. The boys ran off to play, like they always do, and we enjoyed adult conversation for the first time in a long time. Brooke and Jason made an amazing chicken dinner, and Shannon brought broccoli salad. It was fabulous! I am so glad to be so close to these incredible families again. We all have sure missed them!

Goodbye Storage! We WON’T Miss You!

Today is official Moving Day! This storage facility has been home to our home’s belongings for almost a year! To think of the number of times we have climbed in here and jumped over stuff to find things is just crazy. It’s even more crazy to think it is actually a reality that we finally get to move our belongings into a home of our own! It’s a GREAT feeling!

Saying Goodbye to Dance

Today is Lucy’s last day at Expressions Dance. It has been such a wonderful experience from day one! I cannot say enough wonderful things about the teachers and staff here. I am so very sad to be leaving this studio. I know Lucy is going to miss Miss Paige tons and tons. She has inspired Lucy with her dance and as a person in so many ways. Her love and compassion for these little ones has been wonderful. Even when Lucy has come in having a rough start to the morning (because dance starts super early), Lucy has always come out with a huge smile. We have made lots of memories here, and our family is so grateful for them. The snow threatened to not allow us to go this morning, but luckily it let up enough for the roads to clear. After class, we grabbed a “pick-me-up donut” treat, to try and distract us from sad feelings. Moving is both exciting and hard. At least Lucy loved her donut.

The Snow is Going Away…

The view was absolutely beautiful this morning. Just like in the fall, but the opposite, the snow line is now creeping back up the mountain.

…Or Maybe Not!

Just when you think it is going away until next fall, maybe it’s not. These snow “flakes” were SO huge! I have never seen anything like them before. They were more like snowballs falling out of the sky. It took hardly no time to cover you like a snowman. Luckily the roads are too warm for them to stick. Otherwise, this would make a horrible driving mess!

We’re Finally Getting a Home!

Today is closing day!!!!!! Hooray!!!! It is SO hard to believe that it is finally here!!!! We had some hiccups with our down payment, which terrified us that we were going to have to wait until Monday. Our bank transfer wouldn’t go through because it was 4 minutes after 4pm Eastern!!!! Crazy! We don’t live in an eastern time zone! So, we don’t shut business down at 2! But our bank does! 🤦🏼‍♀️ Luckily there was enough time for us to rush over to our bank and get a cashiers check instead. (Totally would have done this to start with, if I would have known! Would have saved us ALL the stress!) We were SO excited to finally get the keys!!! Sam was so super sweet and “carried me across the threshold.” He said we were going to have nothing but great memories here. I totally agree! The views are just breathtaking! It is so hard to believe this is finally our home. I fell in love with it the first time i saw it here.It is like love at first sight all over again.
