Crazy Water, Birds, and Mess kind of Day
Belly Buttons Going to the Zoo
Happy 14 Months Lucy Marie!
Wow! Time is flying during the summer. It seems like yesterday that we celebrated her first birthday, and now it is 2 months later. Crazy! This little lady is CRAZY too! She is so full of energy. Day & NIGHT! Even though I am pretty exhausted most of the time right now, I wouldn’t change her adorable smiles and giggles, her out of the blue hugs, or her silly peek-a-boo moments with random goofy objects for anything!
Lucy is a talking queen. She can say so many words, I have lost track. Her favorite word by far, though, is “Mommy!” I told Brie I needed a word counter because Lucy might break a world record for the number of times she says it in a day. She has all our names down in the family, except William. That is a pretty hard one though. Lucy loves to climb and be UP…up the stairs, up the slide, up on Brie’s computer or guitar, etc… She even plays a little game with herself to “Stand up” & “Sit Down.” Lucy also loves to read books and sing songs. It is the cutest thing to catch her by herself singing or reading to herself. βΊοΈ Lucy is a great helper. She loves to “keen-up” and throw things in the trash. We often find her wiping up random spots in the house with her wipes or paper towels. Sure hope she keeps this love of cleaning.
We are a little concerned with Lucy’s growth. She does not eat very well at all. We are trying to allow her to be independent, since that is her preference, but most of the time the food doesn’t even go in her mouth. Clothes that once were tight, are loose, as well as the diapers she was outgrowing. We will be going back to the doctor again this week to check her weight and growth again. We are hoping this does not bring us back to the GIs we have had to visit with the other kids.
Best birthday present ever: Lucy is clapping with joy for our new family van. Now to get ready for vacation.
Life with a Dog and a Baby
Falling Down Stairs
As if Lucy’s head did not look terrible enough already…
She had to take a plunge down the stairs tonight. Terrifying! That is all I can say. My inner soul will be scarred forever from that! Nothing is worse than not being close enough to stop a disaster. Natalie was supposed to be watching her while I helped William finish printing pictures for a school project. She left Lucy in their room “with the door closed.” But obviously that was not the case. My anger and screaming I think was enough for the entire household to get the point of watching Lucy if you say you are going to watch her. Ugh! ππ€
