Happy Birthday Daddy

Poor Daddy got kind of overlooked today. We had an early morning Stake Conference meeting, that made us have to rush out the door early this morning.    Lucy was exhausted because we had to wake her up to leave after having

Celebrating AlexΒ

Today was Alex’s birthday party. It has been a while since we have had parties at our house. We all had a great time.

I started decorating a few days ago, because with Lucy, I get pulled away often. She actually was such an amazing baby and let me get a lot of done while she played contentedly beside me.  The kids all got to decorate their own cars for the drive-in.  Kids amaze me at how creative they can be. Willian insisted on making Lucy’s car from a Girl Scout cookie box.  I think it turned out adorable!  The kids loved the Minion movie…  …and Natalie and Mandy loved being their concession stand servers.  Couldn’t beat the pizza, popcorn, drinks, and their favorite candy.  To top it off, Alex’s Minion cake was a huge success!  Happy Birthday Alex! 😊  Lucy loved her car too! It was a busy but fun filled day.

Singing Twinkles

This is what it looks like trying to go up the stairs often at our house. Everyone wants to be so helpful to Lucy. It is super sweet, but can get very crowded! πŸ˜‚   We went to visit Grandpa today, for the boys’ guitar lessons. Lucy loves looking out of all their windows.
I started singing Twinkle Twinkle to her, and she took over the singing and the motions. This little girl LOVES music! I can tell it is in her blood.πŸ’•

The boys are really getting good with their playing. I cannot wait to have them back home for school so they have more time to practice.  William is going to be a natural, just like Nate. He has picked things right up.

Little Bit of Trouble

  1. Lucy is really out to explore. She is finding new things everyday. Today, she discovered my wrapping supplies. If things are in a container, she has to take them out.   This was no exception. Even the cat wanted in on the action.    We took Alex out for his birthday dinner, to the Cheesecake Factory, and Lucy enjoyed playing with the utensils and Daddy’s wallet.  I think Dad’s in trouble already! πŸ˜‚ Poor Alex was sound asleep before we even got dessert. Guess we’ll have to go back soon.

Happy Birthday Alex

Today was Alex’s 6th birthday. Lucy was not interested in waking up for it though. I ended up missing him before he left for school because Lucy slept in until 9:45. (I had to wake her up at that point. πŸ˜‚)  At least she was having happy dreams. ☺️    Once I got Lucy up and ready for the day, we rushed to get Alex a surprise lunch. I didn’t get any pictures though because Lucy stayed in her stroller the entire time. The ladies in the office said there was a lot of illness in the school. I am just happy Lucy was okay not getting out. Alex really enjoyed seeing us and getting a special Oreo shake from Chick-Fil-A. When Lucy and I left, we did some birthday shopping and then came home to play. She sure loves to empty things now. Kleenex boxes, wipe boxes, the shoe bin, the diaper bag. Life is never going to be tidy again!     Lucy is also really beginning to enjoy singing. As her “ABC Song” came on today she was really singing along. She even says some letters.  It is sometimes a long wait until the boys get home from school. Lucy now enjoys to go outside and wait for them. Khaliyah usually helps. Since tonight was church night, we waited to sing Happy Birthday, open presents, and have cake until Nate came home. Alex was DYING so we played Twister to pass the time.   Lucy enjoyed spinning around in circles on the mat over and overs again. It was hilarious! William sure knows how to Twister! It turned out to be a fabulous day! Happy Birthday Alex! We love you so very much and love having you in our family!

Dancin’ with My Toys

Today I almost missed getting a picture of Lucy because I was convinced I had taken some. I was really busy and actually had not except for one I was not intentionally trying to get her in. Oh well. There are many days like this. πŸ˜† Lucy loves her new toys that I got at Divine Consign. She is really jamming to her own beat lately, so it is very cute to watch her with toys that have music. She gets her little bum and legs shaking, and her arms swinging. I LOVE baby dancing!

Beautiful Day for the Park

With the absence of sleep for this little girl, today Lucy decided to catch up on what she missed out on over the weekend. My visiting teachers came over, and Lucy fell sound asleep on me for almost 2 hours. (That is a VERY rare occurance nowadays!)   Once she took her nice long snooze, she was back to being her busy little self. This little girl wants to explore the world! She is just nonstop.  I took the kids to the park when they got home from school, and Lucy just had to be one of the big kids. If she would just not put EVERYTHING in her mouth, we’d be great. πŸ˜‰  She had such a wonderful time at the park, she wore herself out. Hopefully with all these naps today, she sleeps well tonight. (Little Miss added a news war wound by falling on the tile while I was making dinner. Poor baby’s mouth. 😒)

So Tired

This little girl is just NOT sleeping! I am not sure what is going on, but whatever it is, I’m exhausted! I cannot imagine how she feels. She plays so hard during the day.   I cannot believe she has so much energy. Now it is bedtime, and she still will not give up. πŸ˜•  This might be a long night.

Quinn Comes to Play

Wow! Is this day over yet?! What a CRAZY day! Sam is still out of town. I am flying solo with award ceremonies, babysitting, school lunch dates, birthday parties, Girl Scouts, and end of cookie season. What chaos! But we survived! William was awarded TOP Dog this morning. I am so proud of him. He tries so very hard, and is such a good boy. He had no idea either.    We went home and picked up Quinn, then came back a little later to have lunch with William. Lucy usually brings him a ton of attention, but with Quinn there too, the questions just kept rolling for him. Kids are so funny. They think everything is amazing. ☺️ When I brought the girls home, Quinn was begging to go outside. It was a beautiful day! The girls had so much fun swinging, climbing, sliding, and just enjoying the sunshine. Quinny is such a sweetheart!   Quinn loved pushing Lucy in her buggy, then having me push her. Lucy loved it too. The girls had a fabulous day. After Quinn went home, I ran everywhere for birthday parties and Girl Scouts. I even had to give Lucy her first Oreo cookie to hold her over until we got home. (Our little secret!πŸ˜‰) We were all exhausted in the end.   Lucy is confused about whose bed this is. πŸ˜‚
