So the little kids are convinced Lucy has an imaginary friend named Bob. A while back, she would say “Bob” clearly all the time. It reminded me of the seagulls in Nemo. Well, Bob went away for a while. Just like Mama. 😕 But tonight at dinner, I sat down with Lucy to eat and she started talking. Out of the blue comes “Bob” again. It was so funny because all the kids at the table in unison said, “Bob’s back!” It was hilarious. I guess he was on vacation. 😉
I didn’t get any cute pictures of Lucy awake today, but I did get this one of her sleeping. She was smiling and laughing in her sleep, so I tried to catch it on camera, but of course she would stop as soon as the camera came out.

Tooth #3
Oh boy, we are teething bad! Lucy is working on her upper 2 teeth now and she is quite miserable. Today, the bottom inner corner of her right upper tooth finally cut through the skin. It still has a bit to go across, but maybe the end of the top two is in sight. We ate lunch with Alex and she was a bit grouchy.
He wanted a picture with her so bad. This is the best we could get. Later, we played cars with Hadley. Being a big girl I guess takes her mind off of baby things like teething. 😉
Her teeth sure do not slow her down from being adventurous though. She keeps trying to let go and just take off.
When I call her on it, she thinks she is so funny.
I’m terrified. I know she is going to be in everything! 😳
Baby! Baby! Are you okay?!
Lucy and I had lunch with Ms. Mary today. I was terrified that Lucy would be a bear, but she was FABULOUS! Getting ready was a challenge though! Lucy does not want to be put in anything. I keep buying things to try and give me time to get a shower and get ready, but it isn’t working. Lucy keeps finding her way out of them. Now it is her new jumper. She managed to lift one leg, contortion artist her butt out of the seat, and hang herself by the other leg. She wasn’t very happy.
I tried to have her play on her playmat in our room, but being mobile now, she gets around way too quickly.
She was pretty proud of herself for finding me.
I realized, after the fact, that I didn’t get any pictures of us at lunch. 😞 I guess it would have been tricky at the table though. I love spending time with Mary! It was great to see her. I really am so grateful Lucy did so well. When we got home, she wanted playtime. Her baby got a full check-up, head to toe! 😂
Look at all that Lucy Hair! It is coming in. Slowly but surely. Khaliyah is really enjoying grooming her too. 😜
I learned that Lucy does NOT like pirates. I tried showing her the pirate statue outside the auditorium at Wylie High tonight, and it made her very upset. She is a go get them kind of girl, but she definitely has a sensitive side.
Peek-A-Boo & Friends
Lucy is really getting good at peek-a-boo. She loves when I hide her, and gets so excited when I find her. This morning, she was playing it herself in her crib. Of course she still does not sleep in her crib yet, but she thinks it is a great place to play!
After we finally got her dressed, we went to play with friends in McKinney. Lucy loves buddies, but is a bit off lately because of her teeth. She is not as social as she usually is.
She still played and enjoyed herself for a while, just chewing on her cheeks and lips as she went along.
Yogurt Girl’s A Dancin’ Hoot
This little girl cracks me up! Today I got a “dairy free” yogurt from Sprouts. At this point, my food is Lucy’s food. As soon as Lucy saw what I had, she wanted it. She practically attacked me until I finally gave her the “empty” container. She thought it was the best thing ever.
Of course Khaliyah was right there to help clean up the mess! They are so funny together. I finally managed to put up Lucy’s swing on the playset, and it turned out to be a nightmare! She was terrified in it. I felt so bad. My kids have never been afraid of the swings. Jaime had this extra bucket swing that she let us borrow, and it made a world of difference. Not sure what it was about the blue swing, but I am glad it fixed our problem.
Lucy loves our new fort…
…and the grass and weeds too! This is what we do at the bus stop almost every day.
I just have to watch her really close because she is quick to the mouth! Lucy has finally discovered her groove. She loves this train that Emily gave her, and the ABC song is her favorite.
She will sometimes just turn the pages over and over again to get the music playing.
Then she will get her arms and legs going. 😂 So cute!
I love baby dancing!
Can’t Take Your Eyes Away For One Second
Lucy is in to EVERYTHING! She wants nothing to do with her baby toys. Only adventures, and finding things she shouldn’t have.
Today she found William’s remote control truck. She liked the flag on the antenna, so she helped herself. Every time I would ask her what she was doing, she would just laugh at me. She got so angry when I had to fish the flag out of her mouth. I ruined her fun.
Now I am really soaking in the quiet moments, because by the time she falls asleep, I am exhausted! 😂
Fabulous Sunday!
Fabulous Weather! Fabulous Family! Fabulous Church! Fabulous Baby! All around, it was a great day! Lucy got a new jumper, that I love so much better than the other one we tried.
I think she likes it too! She looked so cute in her denim and lace today. 😊
Lucy did NOT blow out at church today. (She might be allergic to her new diapers, but at least she stayed clean.) And Lucy was happy through all of Church! Yay!
She took her afternoon nap on the way home, but was full of major smiles when she woke up! I sure love this little girl! She sure brings so much joy into our family.
Big Brother Fun
Today was such a beautiful day. This gorgeous Texas weather is amazing! I really hope it sticks around and doesn’t throw a curve ball at us. Lucy has been off in sleeping at night so bad lately, but she really seems to be getting into a very regular daytime routine. She is waking up around 7:30, taking a morning nap around 9:30 (for around an hour to an hour and a half), taking another nap around 2, and going to bed AT 9! Bedtime is the one time that is set for her. We know when we have missed it! I am hoping that with her daytime being consistent, her nighttime will follow. Right now, she is cutting her top 2 teeth, so it might be a little while before nighttime sleep gets better.
Oh these sweet sleepy time moments! I know they will not last much longer. I just can’t get enough of them. This is about the only time Craziness lets me cuddle her.
Otherwise, she is on the go! Lucy sure had fun with her brothers today.
She played with her animals with Nate, and told him all about them.
And Alex was a great helper at bathtime. She loves her brothers so much!
Ugh! My Pictures!
Well, I deleted all my pictures from today unintentionally. And of course Lucy looked so sweet in her pink and silver pants and tutu. Oh well. The only picture I have is evidence of a vampire in our midst:
Two nice chomper marks from a Lu! I am hoping she was just hungry and trying to tell me. I do not want another repeat of Natalie. Lucy wanted to practice walking all day today. She would not let me hold her, but she would not let me leave her either. She had about 6 good wipe outs today. Her poor little head. I might take up Shannon’s idea and get her a helmet.
I managed to snap a few “selfie”shots before she went to bed. Silly girl. She loves the camera.
Pat the Bunny
Alex got really sick last night. He threw up most of the night, so we obviously kept him home today. He stayed in bed all day, and Lucy and I played quietly so he could rest. (Other than Lucy calling her new friend “Ree-La!” we played quietly. Oh the sounds she comes out with!😂)
The kids are convinced she can say Burger, Maedreigh, & Hadley. We haven’t caught any of those on video though. Lucy sure LOVES her Pat the Bunny book! She will go back and forth through the pages for over 15 minutes. Sometimes when I get tired of Pat the Bunny, and try to put the book away, she gets mad at me. Today, we read it for a very long time. 😉
I love that she finds pleasure in “reading.” I am hoping she will love to read like the other kids. Lucy is really getting better at trying new foods and liking them. Today she enjoyed a frozen peach. I think her upper 2 teeth are working their way down, so I think the cold felt good on her gums.
