Good Laughs!

Thank goodness my phone was close enough that I could quickly run and grab it and Lu was still in her mood so I could capture this! LOVE HER SO MUCH!

Storytime, Playtime, and Cell Phones

Lucy and I went to storytime at the Wylie Library today, and I have to say it was fabulous. They really do a good job. 😊 The librarians gave every baby 3 board books to look at and read, sang songs, did rhymes, and then ended with toy time and bubbles. Lucy really enjoyed it. She has been so observant of her surroundings, and lately she is really letting us know exactly what she wants. We cannot even walk by the kitchen sink without her crying if we don’t stop to let her play. I had to use the restroom while I was nursing her earlier today, so I laid her on her play blanket. I wasn’t gone but 2 minutes max, and she had managed to move herself 6ft across the floor, off the rug, and onto the tile floor. Not sure if she rolled herself or scooted, but she did it fast. She also has been able to play in the jumperoo Mrs. Jamie gave her because I figured out how to turn the ladybug toy around so she won’t smack her face on it. Lucy is moving and going into things so fast now, it makes me sad her little bitty baby self is quickly going away. I am so grateful for cellphones though. Without them, I wouldn’t be able to capture her super sweet moments. I guess I can be okay with phones for this purpose. 😊

 “Ooooo, storytime!”

“Playtime is exhausting!”

Brothers.

I shared a really cute video of some brothers meeting their new baby sister yesterday on Facebook. It was so sweet. Lucy has some pretty incredible brothers, that love her very much too. (Just very differently!) Last night they rushed out to meet me in the driveway to tell me that they had given Lu a new nickname. “Helium!” I have to admit Lucy does do pretty good at talking in a squealy voice. The little boys also decided what they are going to make Lucy for Halloween: a grub! Really boys!?! A grub?! They are so funny. No, Lucy will NOT be a grub for Halloween, even if she is chubby and bald. 😆 Silly brothers!

4 Month Check-up

Some little lady is happy. No shots today. With Lucy’s response to her 2 month vaccines, her pediatrician is redoing her vaccine schedule. He didn’t have individual shots in the office today, so he is ordering Lucy some and will administer them at her 6 month check-up. I am so glad. We are finally getting her happy and stable. I hated the thought of shifting her with something else again. I love our pediatrician! He is fabulous!

 Sleeping with happy dreams. 😊

Lucy Kisses

So absolutely precious! Nothing is better than when your baby connects to doing something really sweet and does it over and over again. Tonight, Lucy learned how to give kisses. I would kiss Lucy on her cheek, and then tell her to give me a kiss. Lucy would then open her mouth really big and give me a big slobber on my cheek. She then would look at me, look at Sam, we would tell her “How Sweet!”, and then she would just start cracking up laughing. She did this about 10-15 times. It was the cutest thing ever! She is such a sweet baby. We are absolutely in love with this little girl. She brings the sweetest spirit into our home. We couldn’t be more blessed.

Textures & Patterns

Lucy is so fascinated with textures and patterns right now. If she sees one that is greatly contrasting, she goes crazy. This morning she caught sight of the pillows on my bed. She kept lunging for them and scratching them with her fingers. Friday and yesterday, it was the upholstery on our rocking chair she had to have. Not sure what is so interesting with that, but she likes it.

Hair?!

Lucy is almost bald. As her head has grown bigger, the bit of hair she was born with has spread more apart, making it look even more sparce. Today, as the light shined on the back of her head I could see that it looks as though there might be new hair finally growing. Kind of strange because she has not lost her newborn hair yet like all her siblings did at this point. I am starting to think that maybe she won’t lose it. The picture below is the best I could get. The very long random strands of hair are still the newborn ones. The very light fuzz looks like new hair coming in. 😊
